Sheriff's Cup 2017 Results
This year’s PBI Sheriff's Cup was hosted by the NIFRS. Golf Society at the stunning Lough Erne Golf Course.
A total of 38 teams competed including a guest team from the Dublin Fire Service.
In all over 160 serving and retired fire service personnel stayed at the venue for 4 days, indeed over 70 guys extended their stay voluntarily and sampled the delights of other local courses and the Northern Ireland hospitality.
The event was played in great conditions with a sprinkling of rain on Thursday which delayed play for an hour or so but, didn't deter the determined teams.
The competition was keenly contested and was won by Humberside ‘A’ with a nett score of 447.
The NIFRS Golf Society would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who took part and helped with the successful running of this great event.
A Special mention to the CFRO of NIFRS Gary Thompson and to Stanley Spray who aced the par 3 third 131 yds with an 8 iron.
