On 28th June 2016 our four national teams from England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales descended on the Vale Resort at Hensol, near Cardiff for the 2016 Four Nations sponsored by KAC Alarm Company Limited.
With excellent facilities the teams were looking forward to playing a challenging course set up to test the pairs, although the first few groups started in the dry, it was not long before the rain started. The weather continued to disrupt the event and by the time the first group had reached the 12th green, the course was unplayable. Therefore the decision was made to suspend play. After a 2 hour break, all competitors managed to get back out on the course and finished their rounds in reasonable conditions.
On day 2 we welcomed sponsor Mr Russull McNamara and guests to the Vale, however weather conditions were appalling and no play was possible. At 12 noon the four team captains did a tour of the course and all were agreed that the event could not continue and would be decided on the day 1 scores.
That evening the presentation dinner was held and prize giving carried out, with the final results being:
Congratulations to Wales Captain Adrian Hall and his team. We look forward to meeting up next year in England.
