Sherwood Forest Golf Club is a long established heathland golf course located in Clipstone Woods within the legendary Sherwood Forest. We are very proud of our reputation as one of the oldest and finest heathland golf courses in Great Britain and are currently rated 84th best in the British Isles and 35th in England. The course was initially designed by Harry Colt and subsequently enhanced by James Braid.
I am honoured to be the Gents Captain this year at Sherwood Forest, we hosted the FireSport UK Golf National Singles in 2021 and Sheriff's Cup amongst many R&A and England Golf events.
Myself and the Lady Captain, June are raising money for two charities that are local and dear to our hearts.
'In Sam's Name' a local men's mental health charityand Vicky McClure's Dementia Choir. which helps people living with dementia.
Format: This is a four person Texas Scramble team competition open to anyone with a CDH ID and fits the handicap category.
Cost: Your entry fee of £300 per team will get you 18 holes of golf, bacon roll and a hot drink on arrival, rolling BBQ when you've finished and chance to win lots of great prizes.
All proceeds will be split between both charities.
The usual price for a four-ball in the summer is £560, so this is excellent value and too good to miss.
