Kilmarnock (Barassie) Golf Club has a long and impressive history and has been offering golfers a magnificent links golf challenge in Ayrshire since 1887.
The club is a members' club but it is always delighted to welcome visitors from any part of the world, to build on the existing popularity with golfers from Europe, the United States and all corners of the of the UK and Ireland.
Barassie, as it is simply known, is located on the outskirts of Troon on Scotland's west coast and is within striking distance of the Open Championship courses of Royal Troon, Prestwick and Turnberry, and the course itself is an Open Championship Final Qualifying venue with a well-deserved reputation for some of the best maintained greens in Scotland.
The golf club has twenty seven holes with which to test the golfer, complemented by first-rate facilities in the clubhouse and professional's shop. Kilmarnock (Barassie) Golf Club offers everything golfers would expect from a Scottish seaside golf course; challenging fairways and greens as well as a friendly, welcoming membership.
