Firefighters Charity Cup Raises Over £6,400 at Paisley Golf Club
The Scottish Organising Committee is delighted to report on what can only be described as a resounding success for this year’s Firefighters Charity Cup, held across the rolling hills of Paisley Golf Club.
Bringing together 60 enthusiastic golfers, the event showcased not only competitive spirit but also a shared commitment to supporting a truly worthwhile cause. Players teed off with hopes of lifting the coveted silverware, facing a course that proved both challenging and rewarding in equal measure.
Two Days of Competitive Golf
Despite a light sprinkling of rain, conditions did little to dampen spirits. Day 1 saw some impressive scoring across the field, setting the tone for what would become a highly competitive tournament. However, it was the Singles competition on Day 2 that ultimately proved decisive, shaping the final standings and determining this year’s champions.
From the first tee shot to the final putt, participants gave their all—not just on the course, but also through their enthusiastic involvement in the raffle and auction, which played a key role in the event’s overall success.
Support On and Off the Course
The Committee extends its sincere gratitude to everyone who attended and contributed so generously. Special thanks also go to those who were unable to be present but still supported the event through donations to the raffle and auction—your contributions were invaluable.
Paisley Golf Club proved to be exceptional hosts throughout, offering outstanding hospitality and ensuring all competitors were well catered for and refreshed over the two days. The warm welcome and positive feedback from both golfers and club staff alike were greatly appreciated and helped create a fantastic atmosphere.
Recognition and Thanks
The Scottish Section would also like to formally acknowledge the efforts of Chris Reah and Grant Morrow, whose professionalism in collating and verifying scores was instrumental in the smooth running of the competition. Thanks also to the National Committee for the support and guidance.
